A majority of people with full hair have experienced a blocked or slow drain. While drain stoppers are effective at reducing hair entering the drains, blockages are almost always inevitable.
There are three ways to get the hair out of your drains. You may also want to call the plumber if you have stubborn clogs.
1. Purchase or make a snaking instrument.
You can de-clog your bathroom sink with a store-bought or DIY snaking tool. With a wire hanger, you can create your own snaking tool. You can just straighten the hanger and then stick it down your drain. Another option is to purchase a Zip it tool. It's a good idea after you have snaked your drain to flush the drain with hot water. This will ensure that your clog is gone.
2. Baking soda and vinegar can be added.
While we don't claim to be scientists, we know that simple clogs can be cleared by mixing vinegar and baking soda. You can try this unclogging recipe by adding water to your drain, followed by vinegar and baking soda. Let it sit for five minutes before pouring boiling water down your drain.
3. Plunge away.
If the hairball doesn't go back up the drain, it is best to push it through any traps or where it's stuck. Grab your trusty plunger to do this job. Grab your cup or flat plunger to seal the deal.
Your clogging problem may not be solved with the latest tools at the store. Sometimes, the clogging of tubs or sinks is caused by a more serious problem. You may need to call a professional plumber to diagnose the problem.
